Where I currently do volunteer work with children with brain injuries.

DRESS FOR SUCCESS
Dress for Success, Their mission is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

PAWS FOR A CAUSE
The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA). Their mandate is to derive its ability to operate and protect animals from the Provincial Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, the PCA Act. The Society is a not for profit charitable organization which receives very little funding from government to carry out its mandated work.

CANADIAN FOOD FOR CHILDREN
A group of volunteers who care deeply about the suffering poor of the world. Our non-denominational, registered charity operates under the Society's Act and under the guidelines of Revenue Canada. As such, they issue tax receipts for cash donations and "gifts in kind" tax receipts for donated materials. Their mandate is to raise funds, purchase food, and gather goods for the hungry in developing countries. Everyone in their organization is a volunteer. No one in their organization is paid for their work. One hundred percent of your donations are used to buy food and to pay for shipping costs. 

SUNSHINE COAST BOTANICAL GARDENS

After many years of searching for suitable land to locate the Garden, a site was chosen in the spring of 2008. The Botanical Garden will be developed over a number of years, but work has already begun.
